Farm owners and their dog at a tree farm
Welcome to Sandy Slopes Farms

Connecting you to HomeGrown!

Sandy Slopes Farm is a small farm in Bolivar, Ohio focused on regenerative agriculture practices. Our farm name got it’s roots from Caleb’s grandpa: Gary Franks (also known as “Poppy”). When my uncle began showing Hereford cows at the county fair, “Franks Sandy Slopes Herefords” was born. The farm was started by my great-grandfather as a small dairy, right outside of Bolivar. As “get big or get out” policies pushed small dairies away they transitioned to Hereford cattle. At the heart of their farm was trusting God’s design and refusing to put chemicals on their land. Our small farm builds on that foundation. Hoping to re-instill the family and community centered nature that guided their farm, while adding the regenerative practices that have been proven to prioritize soil health, make healthier animals, and ultimately healthier food!
