Oh the arrogance of man. Only men could take God provided food and make it an ornament to inflate our pride. God created animals that survive off of grass, which needs sunshine and rain alone to grow well, and convert that sunshine and rain into dense protein that sustain us, even providing us with wool and leather to clothe us. Yet, in our endless creativity to invent sources of ego inflation, have turned that into an ornament, void of life, trimmed to a crisp 2.5 inches. A great deception has come across us, to think vanity over lines of green. We sneer at our neighbors with untamed yards, growing to feed their flocks. Meanwhile, we hum daily, shredding God provided food, burning fuel and spraying poison to maintain that picturesque lifeless lawn.
“You need to trim that, what will your neighbors say?”
“Do you need me to come mow?”
“Don’t you have any dignity?”
“It is out of control!”
“You will get fined for that yard.”
“Can’t we fine him for that yard?”
“People have complained.”
“Just mow it down, we can buy hay from someone else’s field.”
Only men could be so vain. Only men could sneer at God’s natural food. Only men could be so arrogant to think it’s better to go to the feed store to feed animals that have access to food God has freely given them. Only men could think the plastic wrapped, chemically enhanced, artificially colored food at the grocery store is better than what you are able to grow yourself.
Only men look at a field knee high, full of life and endless potential… and be disgusted. While praising the person who allows bare dirt to die day after day as it bakes, naked in the burning sun. Only men prefer poison over the green that tries desperately to restore life to that field of dirt.
Only men pride themselves in such destruction. The arrogance of man has forever sneered at what God has provided.
